Assessment

Due to privacy and child protection laws, there are restrictions in place for children under the age of 18 to complete this online assessment. That is why you cannot input details of an applicant who is under the age of 18.

We take our responsibilities seriously, so we ask that you complete this online assessment (on the right) in the following way:

  • Are you under 18?

If you are under the age of 18, then complete the online assessment by inputting one of your parents as the primary candidate (preferably the parent who has the strongest links to British nationality). So input their details in the form on the right. Then indicate your parents’ marital status and details on page 2 and then input your details as their child.

  • Is this Assessment for your Children?

If you are completing this assessment because you want to know your children’s rights to British nationality, then complete the online assessment as the primary candidate (preferably the parent who has the strongest links to British nationality) as it appears on the right. Then indicate your marital status and details on page 2 and input the details of your child (or children).

WhatPassport.com is a specialist UK Nationality and British Citizenship site offering an online search and assessment. Claims to hold a British Passport can be complex and the site offers a quick, simple search to give you the answers. While many people qualify for the UK Ancestry Visa based on holding a Commonwealth passport with a UK born grandmother or grandfather, we have found that if you have a grandparent born in the UK, or if your mother is British or your father is British, then there are several scenarios where you can claim British Nationality and the right to hold a British Passport. This stems from Britain’s collection of British Colonies, British Protectorates and British Protected States in the middle of last century and the Nationality rules concerning what are now the countries of the Commonwealth.
