United States of America - Permanent Residency - Green Card
Citizens of the United States may help a relative become a lawful permanent resident of the United States by obtaining what is often referred to as a âgreen card.â The citizen will agree to be a financial sponsor for the relative and must be able to prove enough income or assets to support the relative(s) when they come to the United States.
A U.S. citizen can file a petition for a husband or wife or for married or unmarried children. A U.S. citizen who is at least 21 years or older may also petition for parents, brothers or sisters.
2. Employment related (Green cards)
Green Card Through a Job Offer: One may be eligible to become a permanent resident based on an offer of permanent employment in the United States. Most categories require an employer to get a labor certification and then file a Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, for you.
