United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - British Citizenship (British Overseas Territory PGF)
A claim to British citizenship could be possible in the following rare set of circumstances where an applicant:
- was born in a former British Colony before its independence; AND
- has a paternal grandfather (i.e. their father's father) born in a former British Overseas Territory.
While other criteria apply, it also requires the applicant to have not suffered from any Automatic Loss provisions enacted upon the independence of the relevant British Colony.
