United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - British Citizenship by Double Descent (Federal Rhodesia)
This solution relies on the definition of Rhodesia (also referred to as Southern Rhodesia) during the Federal Period, when the country joined Nyasaland and Northern Rhodesia to form what was known at the time as the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. The solution requires the following set of circumstances:
- Candidate born during the Federal Period (1 March 1958 to 31 December 1963);
- Candidate born in (Southern) Rhodesia; AND
- Either of the Candidate's parents being a Citizen of the UK & Colonies (what is now referred to as a British citizen). While there other situations, in practice, this would require the candidate's grandfather (on either side of the family) to have been born in the UK.
