United Kingdom - Passport & Nationality - Non-Arabian Ancestry in Bahrain
Those persons who are not considered of Arab ancestry cannot obtain citizenship, and hold a passport, of Bahrain. Because of Britain's influence in Bahrain - Bahrain was a British Protected State up to 15.08.1971 - it is possible that people whose parents and grandparents were born in territories outside of the Arabian peninsula have old Colonial claims to British Nationality.
